How many posts come on a truckload?
It depends on a few things: What the size (or sizes) of posts being delivered? Area they are all the same size and length or will your load be a mixed load of variable sizes? Also, it depends on if the posts are freshly treated or not. Newer posts with freshly added chemical will be heavier since it has not fully cured all the way yet (posts that have been treated for a while and fully cured will be lighter). All we can get on a full truckload is 40,000 pounds, no matter the size, length, cured or not cured.
Which kind of wood is being treated?
All posts are made from Red Pine species.
What are the post treated to?
All posts are treated to .40 CCA and .60 CCA.
Do you dry your posts?
Yes, all posts are kiln dried to approximately 20%.
How long do your posts last?
We guaranty our post for 25 years in normal soil conditions (not against extreme weather conditions or acts of nature).
Do you sell less than truckload quantities?
Yes, we do. However, the best pricing is based on full truckload quantities. Trucking is based on 40,000 pounds, so the best bang for your buck is to get as close to that weight as possible even if you have to split a load with your fellow competitor — there’s no sense in paying for air.
Do you sell individual pieces?
No, we don’t. We only sell our treated posts in bulk, as bundles. We do not sell individual posts.
